I ordered two Rat Tails as soon as they were available to order online this afternoon. Now we just have to wait 3-6 weeks to receive them. I will finally have a Hayes in my collection that I will not be afraid to scuff up a bit.

Thanks SwampRat Knives. This is my first purchase of A SwampRat blade.
 
I doubt that anyone who ordered by tonight will be waiting 3 weeks. We have a batch that will hopefully ship sometime next week :D:D
 
That sounds like good news. It's funny. I've been collecting knives for several years, but until today I have never even looked at a Swamp Rat knife. I guess it's because I collect mostly traditional type Japanese tacticals. I was on another forum today and discovered a thread discussing the new Rat Tail. I looked around on your site for a while and discovered that I could not order one. Then a few hours later on my third visit to the site they were available to order.
It was just meant to be. A user Hayes is just what I need. Hopefully this will start a new addiction to Swamp Rat knives. That new MINI Tanto that is being discussed in other threads looks like a winner as well. I guess I will have to wait along with my fellow forumites for that one to hit the market.:p

Hey Eric, how wide is the blade? (edge to spine) I can't find that dimention on the site. BTW it's nice to know that there are some ready to ship if I deside to order one.:)

My extrapolation from the picture is that the blade is right at 3/4" wide. Brian (Oku) says I'm pretty close.
