Just a ramble about the RT.

Got it back in Dec and it continues to be one of the EDC's. Rarely a day goes by that it isn't on me.

Have used it for a little bit of everything, but it excels when working in the yard and grooming limbs and small branches.

Have naturally dulled the edge and have semi restored it to near razor sharp. It is one tough blade to sharpen. The blade hasn't shown any signs of staining. Well, at least after I cleaned it up from cutting back the Oleanders.
By dulling the edge, it was still sharp, but wouldn't cleanly slice up trash card board. I have only made two feeble attempts at sharpening it. Doesn't take a lot on the lansky pro crock sticks to give me a useable edge.

Noticed last night that the clip screws have become a little loose. May try it with the clip reversed before I lock the screws down permanently with something. Super Glue or JB weld.

The clip has lost much of the black finish. SW might as well make it completely stainless for users, black for collectors.

The handles show no wear other than debri marks from use. Just needs a scrubbing. That sheetrock chalk is a mess.

And, an interesting obversation, I don't know that any RT's have ever come up on the exchange when numerous other rats have.

Just bored and thought I would hype the RT some...

Great review. I've been carrying mine for 2 years and I've found that it rides well in my pocket, is large enough for any folder task and lightweight enough so it doesn't pull my pants down ;)

One suggestion on the clip, I would avoid using any permanent adhesives, just in case you decide to change your mind in the future.

:D:D

Someday, when mine comes in, maybe I'll be able to talk about how good my Rat Trap is................

Just use red Loctite threadlock. Just takes a heatgun to break it loose in the future if you change your mind.

The red stuff that I have, it would take an acetylene torch to break that stuff free!!!!
