Hey guys,

Got a line on a Rat Warden.

Can I hear from owners please - is it a good little user?

Also, what are the specs for it? OAL and blade length please?

Finally, does it sharpen up real good, like on a Sharpmaker?

Thanks all!

I've used the very devil out of mine. It cuts well (though it isn't 'scary sharp') and the edge definitely 'holds.' The coating's pretty tough, too -- despite daily use for several months, it's only scuffed.

The OAL is the same as a Game Warden -- about 7". Blade length is also like that of a Game Warden, 2.9" alone the spine and about 2.7" of blade (measured in a straight line from the end of the choil to the tip of the blade). The actual length of the sharpened blade is probably just under 3", taken along its curving length. Mine has a thickness of 0.19".

They are a fantastic little knife and a genuine bargain direct from the store. Absolutely minimal weight for maximum usability. I got two and would certainly grab more, even for presents, if they came up again. The OD was really nicely sharp when I got it. The Sage was more sharp enough to pass but with a final bevel way off to one side, so one side was good and acute, the other pretty obtuse. It took me a couple of hours on a Sharpmaker with diamond rods at 15 degrees to reset the edge, admittedly taking it pretty gently. Then it took no time at all to finish it on the finer rods. The OD would have sharpened up immediately with the standard Sharpmaker.

I'm absolutely loving this knife... My first SRKW knife! Paid $100! a sheath from "rainmaker" has REALLY finished this knife off perfectly! So far it seems like a fantastic, simple little knife... and the light weight is GREAT!

Initial edge was pretty thick but after thinning it out it's a great cutter. It's also very comfortable with a cord wrap handle. I love mine and would jump at the chance to score a few more from the store.

I really like mine. Buy it, I doubt you'll regret it.
