Just kiddin' I wont be making many of these I'm afraid, ALOT of work.
It's a single blade barehead trapper. I made everything from scratch. the blade is mirror polished L6 the spring is L6 too, I cut a nail nick, deep faux edge, red jigged bone handles, brass pins, red brass liners, yellow brass bolsters. Now, if you'll excuse me, I am broke, fingers, hands, legs, arms, back, neck,-I'm broke
BTW, the pictures suck I'm gonna try for better ones tommorow, just couldn't wait to post it.

Cool knife MM! Is this the first folding Ratman??

Wow! Beautiful work!

Now if you could churn them out at the rate of 10-20/hr, sell them for $30 each, and advertise them on Bladeforums... You'd be rich!

Congradulations on the fine accomplishment.
Best Wishes,
-Bob

Nice work. You definately are developing your own style. I can only imagine the work that goes into scratchbuilding something like that!

Beautiful work! Where do I sign up for the inaugural run ?:D :D
I really like that tang, very different style.

Eric

Unbelivable!! Thats great. I also want to sign up for the inaugural run, and be put on the list for one of the first 1-10 serial numbered ones, thoes are worth more.... Great job!

You have done a great Job on this knife. Keep moving forward and I wish you the best of luck.

One word, GIFTED !!! I think that knife would sell, the blade is different from anything else I have seen.
Keep it up !!!

You ought to patent that blade style. Very sleek and stylish. Looks like it grew right out of the handles.

Great original design MM....there will always be knives still made in U.S. while you're around mate! You dont live near Canal Street do you?...I reckon there would be an apprenticeship waiting for you...Keep it up...Hoo Roo

Awesome.
How long did it take to complete the knife?
Thanks for showing

Thank you all very much for your kind words.
Eric, I'll keep you and grandall in mind if I make any up to sell

thawk, I would if I could-just can't afford it

lrv, can't say exactly, I've been working on it off and on for a week or so. I would have had it finished a few days earlier but I was running low on pin stock. If I worked on it continuously a day and a half to two days I'd guess.

If I made them to sell I'd want about $200 shipped.
I took this one to a swap this morning and showed it around to some knife traders and they seemed real impressed with the fit and finish.

Ok Guys, I posted before I thought things through, I get ahead of myself sometimes. Folders (if/when I make some to sell) will be about $150-$175.

You can count me in when and if MM, and don't underprice yourself, that's a hell of a lot of work for one knife, and a beauty at that.
Eric

...MM...have you thought about a brand name change before you become too famous mate?....Ratbrand conjours up visions of our Rat Baits here in Oz..you know the stuff some wives give their husbands....
Cant we have a competition here on BF to come up with something more spivvy?.....Licenced by Taylor...no...thats been used hasn't it?...MuskMaker..MM initials....any others..Hoo Roo
