Hello,

I've read about blade centering, I've learned it doesn't affect functionality, it's mostly aesthetics, a sign of good workmanship etc etc.

But I'm curious, is it a yes or no situation, or it can be a 5/10 10/10 or 0/10?

If so, please rate the centering on this folder, what would you give it out of 10?

If others want to get opinions on the centering of their own folders, they're most welcome.

I'll take that. It's a Victorinox, I would've liked a perfectly centered blade, but it's centered enough to look nice..

Not sure if the blade on traditional SAKs are supposed to be centered, but the one I have is way off..

If my knives aren't centered, then I'll adjust them until they are. I've never had a problem doing so, but I usually don't care unless the blade rubs the handle.

Doesn't look like there is any margin to adjust in any case. If it is centered at the tip it will be touching elsewhere. If that came to me from a custom maker I would send it back. For a production knife, I'd be grumpy but tolerant, if that were the only "issue".

Definitely uneven grind. I’d keep it. 9/10 centering with a slightly uneven primary and uneven secondary. Use it until you can’t.

Photos can be deceiving in that just an even slight off angle view can sway what you are looking at and with constant staring, it can...and often times will....drive you mad ;)

As jbmonkey jbmonkey stated so succinctly, it's good ;)

I figure if you can't tell what's an asymmetrical blade grind and what's blade centering, it's probably a 10/10, can't do much better.
