Sorry to bother you folks with what might be a silly question, but here goes. I just got my first Swamp Rat knife in, a beautiful Ratmandu. It's one of the nicest knives I own, and just has a strength to it you can feel, just holding it in your hand. In short, it's amazing.

So, I showed a buddy a couple evenings ago, and he said that he'd heard that Swamp Rat was going to be discontinuing this model at some point very soon, and some new model would take the RMD's place. So, I'd like to ask if that's true. I know a lot about many different knife makers, but Swamp Rat isn't one of them, so I figured I'd ask the experts.

Thanks for any help. I'm already looking at my next order, and an answer one way or the other will influence that.
 
The truth is that we do not know when it will be discontinued but the rmd has been available for a long time
 
We will let everyone know if or when the RMD will come off of the site.
 
All good things must come to an end at some point, But hopefully not any time soon. The RMD is pure excellence, Those are some awfully big shoes to fill.
 
Hope not I have one on order . If I like it I am going to order three of them for my grandsons :-) I even had a sheath made for mine :-)
