RatManDu color combos

Trying to decide which RMD color combo to go with and am really torn between the black canvas with black blade, and the black canvas with desert sage blade. I was thinking that the sage blade may look alot better for a longer period of time since scratches might not show up as much.

Any side by side pics of the black canvas w/desert sage vs black blades? Or any shots of them after hard use?

IMO the sage is a bit more durable. But only slightly so.

Blk micarta and sage is one of my favorite combo's.

Awesome! Thanks, that pic is perfect! Thats a very good looking knife, I just changed my order to the black/sage. Can't friggin wait to get it:-)

I also am thinking that the black with sage looks a little less menacing than a black blade, which for me is kinda a plus since alot of my hiking is in populated places. I know it sounds dumb, but I've had alot of people seem a bit wary when I'm carrying my USMC Kabar....I guess today's population has just become so used to small folders that they question the purpose of a big knife....
 
That color combo is awesome! I might have to make that my next one... :D

my personal preference is the Sage coating, however for the sake of scratches not showing up as badly and wear I believe Tanker Gray is a better option IMHO
 
that mudmandu is wicked!!!! I say death chant for the mudder option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm big on the Tanker too. Especially with Blk paper or g10... killer combo.

+1 ! If the RMD had Muddy I would grab another couple ! ;)
 
I agree w/ the muddy request. Would love that. Have a muddy HRLM and really like that blade a lot. I would love a muddy RS or RMD.
 
So happy everyone agrees with me!! Let's keep this going maybe we can get Eric to bring it back! :thumbup:
