Busse demigods,

I am looking for a 6-7inch knife with a ratmandu handle. I was hoping it would be less than .25 thick to cut down on the weight. I was looking at hell razors and satin jacks. Am I in the right area or are there others.

Please help me.

John

The Beefmandu (despite being right around .25-.26 with coating and I am not overly excited about thick blades either) in SR101 ties, if not slightly surpasses, the SAR6 as my two favorites in the 6" blade range.
It's the RMD perfected for me and feels way better than the any Jack ever did.

SAR 6 is no slouch either at .22, seen middle left in this pic that predates the SARGE7, which is another good one.

The rodent 6 has the ratmandu handle pretty much. But the rodent is not going to be under your .25 thickness it's pretty much .25-.26 thick but it still chops and slices pretty good.

I have two of them. 1 just to have "because I like it alot" and 1 as a user.

You can also have the top guard taken off the Rodent 6 and then you pretty much got a bigger Ratmandu

I tend to lean the other way and would love to ser the Infidu in .25 or more.

The Axe Hammer is a variant of the Satin Jack Tac, so it has the Tac handle; which is similar to the RMD, but not the same.

Then there's Mini Uncle Mojo, RMDX LE which is a longer full convex grind RMD with top guard, RMD Proto which is also a longer RMD that is convex but without the guard. Beefmandu and R6 as mentioned above.

RMD Proto. I think the handle is a little on the small size for a bigger knife, and the SJTAC has a similar feel with more room.

Can someone please take up close pics of the sj tac. Does it have contours in the handle like an ash or rodent 6?

It might not be easy to find, and it would be SR101, but a swamprat M6 or mini mojo might be exactly what you are looking for.
