Ratmandu Infi customs? Bring pics please.

So, I've seen plenty of custom SR101 RMDs. From full flat grinds to drop points, to mods with harpoon spines, nuked spines and everything else.

I haven't really come across any Infi RMDs with custom grinds, but rather only custom handles.

Whether customized from Busse, or from a 3rd party or yourself, I'd love to see them.

Please post pics of any Infi RMDs you have or have seen. Do these exist?? :confused:
 
I'm guessing that there are not many, if any, out there (at least from Busse). Back when the custom shop was open I requested to have one made with some mods, but they said that the Infidu's were a ganza only offering and that I couldn't have one made for me in the custom shop.
 
That makes sense.

With how popular the model is, I'm surprised there wouldn't have been some nice customs for sale at shows.
 
Hmmm....I can't remember having seen any either. I sure wouldn't turn my nose up at a satin high saber ground blade with drop point, hand-smoothed black canvas model with solid fasteners though :)

Ha! Possibly but it would be very cool to have one with a nuked top edge, and maybe a FFG drop point, and others. After all, variety is the spice of knife. Or something like that.

That would be a beautiful version for sure. Dr Lecter has quite a few bussekin with satin blades and smooth, pinned black canvas handles and it gets me every time. Gorgeous.

I hope the custom shop re-opens while the RMD is still available to at least be able to pick up some SR101 versions of some of these variants.

This. I made similar requests and got the same answer. I did see one on another forum that Razors Edge put a tanto point on. pretty slick lookin knife, I'm guess total blade length is around 4 inches.

I'm right there with you on this ^. The FFG drop point models I've got in SR101 are my favorite RMD users.
 
I had all of mine reprofiled, except for the INFI DU with the tan G10 scales, to cut and carve better. I left the SR-101 in the photo because you can see the blade profile best against the brown coating. You can see the difference in the bevel next to the Tan G10 INFI DU The reprofiled knives cut and carve like a razor and are very easy to touch up.
