How can you tell the difference between the Ratnandu LE and the CG? I bought what was sold as an LE off of eBay and the only marking is the Swamp Rat logo. There is no marking suggesting a limited edition. Should there be one?

Post a picture and we can help you better.

I have noticed some people label an SE as an LE.

But if you google image Ratmandu LE you will see them with limited edition numbers on them.

Is yours Saber ground or FFG?

CG is combat grade and coated normally

LE have numbers on them and are saber ground from what i seen

SE, is special edition, full flat ground and satin normally.

Customs normally have custom shop right on them...

Notice i said normally a lot... Thats because you can go thru the custom shop and get a wide range of different options for each knife. And sometimes people send them back to get modded or changed.. Lots of possibilities... Thats why its easier if you could post a picture.

I hope these pictures provide a complete view of the knife. Thank you for your help. This is my first Rat. For the price I paid I am happy either way.

I hope you didn't pay a premium on that blade since the seller called it an LE. Sounds like they didn't know what they had or blatant false advertising.

Maybe you could let us know who the seller was so we can beware in the future?

The seller is a sheath maker. I'm assuming this knife was used as a model for sheaths. The price I paid was fair for a CG so I am not worried.
