One of my most vivid memories, is looking in a silverwear drawer for a fork and finding two brown rats the size of beaver. I was eight. We were living in a chicken house that was attached to a big white barn. My uncles had; fixed it up, so we could live in it. We were the far side of poor. I know the rats, weren't really that big, but to an eight year old, they seemed like it.
I was thinking of this, as I sat looking around the shop; the Big Blue air hammer sitting side by side with the new press that Bowie built for me. I was humbled.
It's hard to fathom, how I got from there to here. For one thing, I have a great wife with a lot of determination Thanks Deb!
If you visit my shop, this is the view when you turn off the gravel road and head up my driveway. The shop building is in the far background.
