Hi,

You guys helped me pick out a new Barlow about a month ago. I fell for a Boker Grand Canyon, just love the jigging. I ordered one and sadly it is back ordered until who knows when. So I regretfully canceled the order. Though I will keep watch to maybe get one at a later date.

But on the upside, I did save enough pennies while waiting to order a GEC #25. So now I'm anxiously waiting again.

You people are such an evil influence!:D:D

I hope you like your GEC #25! I really like mine. Didn't carry it today but was thinking about it and had to give a different one some pocket time.

Our bad influence gives a good result.....you won't be disappointed with the GEC! What handle did you choose?

You could lurk in the Bay, you might find a Böker Grand Canyon Barlow there....

Hi,

I finally chose one with red buffalo horn scales. Though it was a very difficult choice. I had also found a distressed white bone that was very good looking too. But I felt the darker horn was a better contrast to the long bolster and showed off the embossed UN-X-LD better.

I'm kind of nervous because I've never spent this much for a knife. I could have trawled the 'Bay for a Boker, but re-visiting those GEC's was just too much to resist!

I was debating between those same scales when I got my #25 too. I went with smooth buffalo just because I wanted to try something other than bone. The buffalo horn is attractive and the grain seems to stand out more and more as time goes on. It does scratch easily though.
