Most of my work - and my first love is Frontier gear but every once in a while I get "rail roaded" into making a modern piece  . Actually this is one of the sheaths I put together for the soon to be released Custom Knife Sheath how-to video from Center Cross Instructional Videos.
The rattler skin inlays are sewn in at 10 stitches per inch with Barbour's fine quality 2 oz Hemp Thread. The sheath body is fully lined with calfskin so that no stitching is exposed. The main seam and belt loop are sewn at 6 SPI with Barbour's 5 cord Linen Thread.
The knife a - Bullnose Hunter - is by Chris Daigle, of Houston, TX - here's his description "pattern forged of 1084 (oil quenched, triple tempered). OAL is 9 1/2" and the blade is 4". The guard is 416SS, the spacer is buffalo horn, and the handle is Osage."

Anyway I hope you enjoy this change of pace

That sheath is truly awesome!  I hope you get "rail roaded" more often. ;)

Beautiful sheath! I usually don't care for the look of most rattlesnake inlays, but this one is fabulous. Gorgeous tooling and stitching also. The knife is not too shabby either! Great job, and to echo RogerP.... I hope you get "rail-roaded" yet again.

Fantastic package!!!!! That sheath is breathtaking and the knife fits it perfectly.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty easy so I probably will get "rail roaded" again, but maybe not to soon - I've got to many other irons in the fire right now. Just finished up the Pipe Hawk we've been working on and along with making a sheath for the bear jawbone knife in the background of those photos, I've got a bunch of cowboy gun rigs and other gear to get out the door.
But as Sean Connery once had to say - Never Say Never Again! :footinmou
