Rattling Leek

I have an aluminum-handled standard leek. I lent it to a friend for a few days to see what he thought of just carrying a decent small knife on his person. Of course, he loved it, but upon return, i noticed a small rattling noise when the blade is open (not closed.)

I tightened all the body pins and even the pivot pin to the point where it didn't really want to open, and it's still rattling.

I dismantled the knife, cleaned everything, and properly reassembled it. It's still rattling.

I am thinking it is somehow related to the torsion spring, but I have no idea why on earth it should be rattling - it's not like it has a lot of room to move around!

any helpful hints you could offer?

Once the blade is open, there is no longer tension on the torsion bar.
There is just enough room for the bar to rattle when open.
Generally there is grease in the torsion bar pocket preventing rattling.
Next time you take it apart just add a little bit of grease.

Here is another recent thread with some particular types of grease mentioned.

Problem solved! No more rattle. A million thanks!
