Ratweiler on Ebay

Um, well fishbudda, there's a rule about auction spotting on all forums, but since it's your first post it's likely you didn't know not to do it.

Recently they've been going for a little less on the Bladeforums For Sale area. You can usually get better deals here. The prices usually include shipping (which that auction does not). Do a search on the Busse/Swamp Rat For Sale Forum and see for yourself. They've been going for between $275-$290 shipped (I just sold one for $285). The search function is the best way to find out about stuff like pricing though. If you need any help figuring things out like this feel free to email me by clicking on my username and dropping me a question about prices if you don't find what you need by doing a search.

opps sorry did not read about Auction stuff in the rules.
thx for the info though

Yeah, we try not and embolden the enemy.

Welcome to bladeforums. Do you have any Rats already? The Ratweiler is a great one to start with. Those handles are my favorite of all time; both past and present. I don't know why they decided to change them. They should have broke the mold with that handle shape, IMHO. My Ratweiler's the go to blade for medium duty around my camp site.

No This will be my first Rat purchase if i win the Auction:)
if not i will be buying a Rat from https://www.shop.ratknives.com/
for my First Rat. The Mojo seems to me to be a very good work knife.
The Ratweiler though would be a good start to my collection ;)

The Mojo is sweet.
Ya gotta love .25" thick stock!
You always get the best deal at the Company Store.

My advice is buy whatever the store is selling; everytime! My experience is that I eventually want it if I don't get it right away, then Im looking for one at jacked up prices later anyways. Just buy it when it comes up so you don't have to worry about it later.

BTW, you're going to love that Rat Weiler. That has to be the most comfortable handle ever. When it's in your hand hold it to your ear and you can actually hear it begging you to abuse it.

Fishbubba,
Welcome to the forums, I'm glad that you stopped by. I hope you stick around and if you do you'll snag a deal on some discontinued Rat's. They are out there it just takes some time and searching

:D:D

My advice is buy whatever the store is selling; everytime!
.

Now that is some sound advice ;)

Well i won the Auction for the Ratweiler ,even if i paid over the top for it ,it still seems worth it .Will know to look here before hand next time.
Now the Hunt for a Sheath begins!

That's cool bro. Congrats. Much more that $300 is pushing it, but that's just the high end. It's not outrageous by any stretch. I was just saying you could do about $15 better around here. But now you got one without the waiting, so there's that. You're going to absolutely love that thing. It's one of my favorites (don't tell my Howling Rat I said that though).

The longer 7" Spec Ops sheaths fit those great. They're like $30-$35 all around the web. I use those for all my knives, but that's just me. They are mid range in price, and they have niether of the issues that you get with kydex and leather. Kydex marks your blades, is noisy, and has to mid-ride on your belt, and leather is weather sensitive. Just my 2cents.

Now go get your Mini Mojo before it's too late.

Welcome to Swamp Rat, fishbudda, and good snag on the RW!!

Like Damn the Man said, the handle design can't be beat. It's probably my favorite Rat, and that's saying a lot, cause they're all great! :D

Hey fishbudda, welcome to the madness! I started with a RW last June, then the Wauseon disease took over, and now I have a pile of Rats and Busse. Be careful, it'll get you, too!

Yeah ive been looking for a good Start and this will be it .
Ive Had a few Cheaper Knives. Cold Steal and such before but now i can afford to Splurge a bit .
Just Recieved a Spyderco Manix to replace my EDC ,Which i must say is very damn good
Looking at Getting a Mini uncle Mojo Next . i am more into Fixed 6" + knives and am looking forward to making a good Collection of Show and Users for fun and work.

Congrats on your score. I have been here for awhile and have had plenty of different Swamp Rats. However, I have just gotten my first Ratweiler within the last two weeks. Patience and perseverence are key. Several have come and gone, but I got one that was finally in the reasonable range. And had I not gotten it, Shuey2002's would have been mine easy--that was a good price!
