Anyone have a pic of the grip on a Ratweiler from above and/or below the tang? Can't remember how deep the side contouring is on the handle slabs.

Thanks guys,
Will

WOW!!! Those are GREAT!!! Just what I needed.

Thanks Duramax!
Will

Your very welcome glad to help. If you need a comparative pic let me know. If I have the knife I'll snap some side by sides

The only other thing I could think to ask is what thickness stock is the knife in your photos?

Thanks again!

The knife in pic is an op2weeks .25 version with tan canvas

It is worth considering that past performance is no guarantee of future results.

The OG Ratweiler had very nice contoured scales. Subsequent runs had flat-topped scales. Not as nice.

Not sure about the more recent Battle Grade models.

This new INFI model seems to have some nice contouring. YMMV.

Thanks, Guy. If anyone has anything to add, including speculation based on aspects of the photos we've seen so far of this INFI version, feel free.

Thx,
Will

Good pic. Funny thing is that I got a SHE 2 and didn't like it. Maybe not enough metal in front of the handle compared to the OG Ratweiler?

Hmmm?, I don't know. For me I like the SHe2 handle better. I can position my hand in multiple grips and for me it's comfortable. The op2wks ratweiler has that forward finger notch. That when I try to grip forward, I'm trying to squeeze two fingers in there. But I do love both blades, go figure lol. The ratweiler in hand does feel like a bigger knife.

Buenas dias hermano! Here are a couple of comparison pics between the older Rat and newer Rat. The newer Rat has fatter contoured handles which really compliment the handle shape IMHO. An improvement over the original design in terms of grip, but nothing compares to that old school rope cut micarta ;)

I didn't realize the SHE2 was so close in size. Thanks!

Here's a couple shots. An LE alongside an M9

With an RMD

Left side of this pic, there's a mastiff, and then the satin RW. M9s on the right, and 711s on top. RMDs and swampwardens in the middle. Bravo 2 below the RW. Basic 4 and steak knife lower right.

I agree. Love the look of the original slabs but the new contoured scales feel better. One thing I do hope on this one is that the milling is wide like my LE, rather than the narrower grooves of the OP2W 'weilers. The handle on the LE is awesome.

Thanks to all for the pics, and the different grips side-by-side are especially appreciated snwbrdr202!

Thanks! That really shows the difference in contouring and handle milling width.

Wish Jerry could get us some better pics of the handle on this INFI offering--better lit to show contouring depth, top and bottom tang views, and comparison of the handle milling ribs with older models would really help me make a buy decision on these.
