Looking for a source for Ratweiler Sheaths. Just ordered a couple Rats and they don't come with sheaths?:grumpy:

What kind of sheaths are you looking for, kydex or leather?

I had some leather sheaths but they have now all sold out.

In effect, sheaths were once included on many of the Wauseon family of blades (Busse, Swamp Rat, and Scrap Yard.) If ya make kydex, everyone wants leather. Leather? Everyone wants nylon/kydex. You can see where this goes.

They seem to feel that a sheath option is a very personal choice. One that is best made by the end user. A sheath could be made a mandatory, included-in-price item. What happens? The prices go up.

I would recommend Chuddy Bear for great work and fast turnaround, then. Armoralleather may have some more coming off the bench soon.

High ride, mid-ride, dangler? Pouch, no-pouch?

Got a question on the Kydex. I haven't ever had a Kydex sheath. Do they usually fit pretty snug? Are they adjustable, i.e. how snug they hold the knife?

buy from the Rat store... Erics sheaths he has are sensational. take my word for it.

if you dont buy from him, but from rainwalker. my boy jeff from out in middle tennessee (keep it real out there bro) makes great kydex... i use his sheaths to carry my swardens in.

The Armoralleather dangler sheath and the Chuddy Bear snap sheath are both excellent leather choices. For Kydex, I recommend the KyTac sheath by David E. I have all three. The thing I like about the the KyTac sheath is that there is almost no contact with the blade. It's all handle retention with a thumb release which makes for quite an amazing sheath. That's my $0.02.
