So about 3 weeks ago, My Brother and I drove 3 hours down to my Dad's Farm. While we were there, we fixed a bunch of tree stands for deer hunting out of. I lost my Raven2 out of my pocket in the hay field apparently. Well this weekend WE FOUND IT! Luckily, the fields had already been harvested, but the frost had dropped the hay left on the field to about half what it was. Hence, how we found it.

So it's not bent or anything, just dirty and doesn't pivot very well. What is the best way going about cleaning, and re-lubing this knife?

It still has the hair shaving edge on it I put on the blade.:D
I'm gonna put an orange para-chord lanyard on it this time to help find it just in case.

I suggest loosening the pivot screw a bit, running it in warm soapy water while working on the mechanism, rinse well, making sure the soapy water is out.
Dry (hair drier?) thoroughly, spray some WD40 into the pivot and mechanism. Wipe off the excess and it's good to go.
Don't forget to retighten the pivot.

That if you don't want to void warranty by disassembly. I would simply disassembly, just because I can ensure all parts are inspected & cleaned.

got the mud cleaned off of it.... and added a bright orange parachord snake knot lanyard to it tonight. Still need to lube it; but I'm so happy to have this back in my possession! :)

It's crazy the day after we found mine.... I was fishing by my Dad's pond and found his buck knife he'd lost 2 weeks prior!?!!?

2 for 2 finds :O :)
