Raven handle material

The Raven's molded handle material is describes as Kevlar reinforced Kydron. It looks a lot like Zytel to me but it doesn't feel like it and appears to be heavier. I don't know anything about it. Any input for me? Thanks.

You are correct it is a thermoplastic that is reinforced with Kevlar. One of the primary reasons I believe Emerson chose this material is that it has superior grip when wet and the pattern you see on the handles is supposed to allow water to drain off. This material is also fairly resistant to most solvents.
