Ravishing, Radiant, Re-Covers.

Maybe you had that knife that was perfect... Except for the covers. Or maybe you had a sentimental material that you wanted to carry every day. Heck, maybe you were just bored and had an idea. Whatever the case, I've seen numerous knives posted here with utterly exquisite re-covers that have been masterfully done. More often than not, these superlative works of art have been created by members of our very own Porch.

I looked around and didn't see a thread dedicated solely to re-covers, so I thought this could be a place for us to post these gems from our collection.

I'll start it off with three wonderful re-covers performed by the skilled artisans here on BladeForums.

The first is a Case/Tony Bose Eureka Jack featuring 154-CM steel and Raffir stabilized mammoth ivory covers that have been painstakingly hafted to perfection by J jsdistin .

Next is a Solingen made Boker Barlow featuring integral stainless steel bolster/liners, a damascus blade forged by Chad Nichols out of a WW2 era M4 Sherman Tank, and more Raffir stabilized mammoth ivory. This time the immaculate work was performed by the esteemed glennbad .

And last, but most certainly not least, is a 2017 BladeForums TC Barlow produced by Great Eastern Cutlery featuring a 1095 steel blade, those famous bolsters, and some marvelous redwood burl covers I cut from a burl given to me by my brother, and stabilized by the pros at K&G. This outstanding work was also pulled off by the ever-talented glennbad .

I also had the sword shield added to remind me of my boys... thanks to Glennbad.

I’ll take ebony over acrylic any day! That turned out beautiful. That shield looks most excellent. I wonder why we don’t see that shield much these days.

The perfect opportunity, I bought this CK Loinsteel here on BF which I believe has a recover done with G-Carta. Never got around to asking the seller but I'm guessing someone on here has an idea about it's origin. The fit and finish is perfect so maybe this was a factory order but I've never seen another.

You can never have too many pics of modded knives to look at but wanted to share this thread as well. It is the only other thread I know that combined everyone's mods in one place. Most of the modders here have/had their own thread.

My friend Reaper AL commissioned 6 Lambsfoot re-builds and re-covers from J jsdistin , after buying some inexpensive Sheffield Rosewood Lambs, which typically come with flaws. They were re-covered in Giraffe Bone, Appaloosa Bone, and African Blackwood, and Reaper AL very kindly gifted me three of them J jsdistin did a great job
