I'm not sure if this counts as gear...but it's more gear than knife so here goes nothin'!

Almost everywhere I look, people say that G-15 lenses keep everything looking natural while B-15 lenses increase contrast. Do things look duller with the green lenses? Do they tint things green? And do the brown lenses tint white things brown? It's hard to get a good feel for lenses in the artificially lighted Sunglass Hut, that's why I'm asking.

I know that once I wear them for a while it would look natural but I'm talking right when you put them on, do you think "everything is slightly greener/browner" before your eyes adjust?

I use the grey lenses and they do not change colors and block out a lot of light too!

My wayfarers have then G15. I like them, they do not change colors or have a green tint.

I have grey transitions, polarized brown, rose, and yellow prescription glasses. Color distortion is really subjective and depends on your eye's light sensitivity and the environment you wear them in.

I wear the yellows almost all the time indoors and at night. They are awesome on overcast "grey" days and at night for taking the edge off on-coming headlights. The rose are really best for me when using a monitor for long periods of time, especially under flourescent lighting.

The polarized browns are really awesome in harsh outdoor light. Polarization kills glare from flat glass and other shiny objects. The brown really cuts harsh intensity and helps with resolution (object definition). The transtions really only get used if I'm going indoors/outdoors a lot.

Any lens that will will "step on" the blue light spectrum will distort color to some degree. My yellow, grey, and brown lenses are all pretty benighn with the rose lenses being somewhat noticable. For me the green lenses I have tried were by far the worst at color distortion but, they have their place in some lighting conditions.

For a "blind" choice, go with brown. They are more general use and versatile in different lighting conditions. Regarding the Sunglass Hut, can you leave a driver's license or credit card and take them outside to natural and hopefully bright sun light?
