Hi All,

Just wanted to share a couple of quick shots of my current Ray Cover collection for your Saturday night perusal. Hope you enjoy. I know there's a bunch of other Cover lovers hauntin' this slippery joint. :D

L to R: Ivory micarta shadow in ATS34; Jigged bone wharncliffe in ATS34; Ironwood lockback in ATS34; Jigged bone slipjoint in D2 (this one has been around the world ;))

The ironwood on that lockback has more 3D depth and color than any I've ever seen before...hard to catch in the lens. One thing I think you can always count on from Ray is outstanding scale material. This is, of course, just a bonus combined with his master craftsmanship.

Each and every one is outstanding. Covers are hard to beat. Well done, Mister Fewpop.

Fun to look through from Cover to Cover.

They all look great. I can't wait to get a Shadow pattern to carry. I'm holding out for the slightly smaller (3 1/4" closed) version for my Cover carry;)

Great Collection, I see a few that need to head South for the Winter.

Hey guys, it sure is nice of you all to drop in and comment here. I do appreciate that. I wanted to state, and should have in my original post, that I would love for you guys to show your Ray Cover pics here in this thread if you are so inclined.

C`mon and share fellas. :)

With Fords' permission, I thought I would share some of my Covers, a lot of them from posters already on this thread.

Between Jim and Ford, they've got this place COVERed!
Nice bunch between you!! Any one of them would make me a happy camper!

Ford,

Great looking knives, I am not too familiar with Ray's work, but it looks impressive. I especially love the ironwood lockback. That is my favorite.

Love the wharnies! I like any pattern where the blade sinks all the way into the handle, and in this case its a nice shape, and looks comfy to use too!

Nice!

G.

Here are a couple I haven't shown before. Both lockblades obviously. The smaller jigged bone one is Ray's most commonly seen lockblade model, but this one has an S30V blade. The larger Lockblade fighter, in Burgundy Micarta, is the largest folder Ray ever made. It is 5 1/8" closed, 9 1/8" open. It is Just slightly bigger length wise than Ray's monster two blade. Ray gave me this one a while back as a gift and it will never leave my possession--I promised;) Ray isn't making lockblades anymore, so these are both permanent residents:D

I'm asking myself: "Are there better looking knives around??" That Ironwood lockback is a real find, congratulations!

If you ever get sick of this knife business, well you know where to send 'em........

Those are great looking Covers guys! Thanks for sharing them!

This two blade trapper is the only one I have at the moment but I should be fixing that within a month or two:

Here are a couple by Ray. The two blader is jigged bone. The lockback is mastodon. The North American species of mastodon disappeared about 10,000 years ago. Little did one of those dying mastodons know that a little piece of his tusk would wind up in the hands of Ray Cover many years later. Little did Ray know that the knife he put that little piece of mastodon tusk on would wind up in the hands of a big honkin' goofy doofus.
