UPS just brought me my new Ray Cover Sr. stag canoe. The pictures on the AZCK website just don't do this justice! This is a really classic looking pocket knife. The flat ground blade is ultra sharp and the back spring on this knife is ultra strong. Under normal use the knife ought to be at least as secure as a lockback. My new interest in slipjoints has been great so far. I honestly forgot just how nice traditional folders can be. I still love the easy access and quick opening of my tacticals but a classy slipjoint is wonderful to me because no synthetic material can compare to stag or bone and it is just fun to handle and use knives with the long tradition of the slipjoint. Finally, slipjoints are simply seen by most people as simple pocket knives (unless they are really big) instead of potential weapons. Oh well, so much for my opinions. I think anyone that likes knives can get into a beautiful custom slipjoint.
