I have a knife made by Ray E. Johnson from Independance, MO. The knife and business card both have the letters REJ inside the outline of an arrowhead. My question is does anyone know if this is the same Ray Johnson that was the bladesmith at Silver Dollar City for years. All of the other Ray Johnson knives I've seen just have his name stamped in the blade.

Yes that is the same. I think he was working in the auto industry in KC before he got the job at Branson. I know he was making damascus in 1986 and not at Branson.

Thank you very much. I think I got this knife in 85 or 86. I've just not been able to find any others with this arrowhead outline. And this one also has a stag handle with a bear carved into it. Haven't seen too many of Rays knives with that done to them either. I think I gave Ray around $500 for it when I got it from him back then. Still looks brand new and still as sharp as ever.
