I haven't received these just yet, but I figured that some of you could join me in my anticipation as I await them.

A while back I asked Ray to make me a "Lil Blue II" and "Lil Rank" to round out my collection of Raker neck knives. I asked that they be forged and made with "natural" scale material. I gave Ray a pretty good idea of what I wanted and left the rest up to him and his artistic vision.

Here are the results:

The blades are forged from a core of 52100, combined with O1, 1084 and 5160.

The overall length of each is in the six inch area, give or take.

The "Lil Rank" features sambar stag scales.

The "Lil Blue II" features giraffe bone as you can see from the certificate above.

I will report more on these knives after I get them, but I just couldn't help sharing my anticipation.

Ray Kirk (Raker Knives) website is located at: http://www.tah-usa.net/raker/index.html

I can't recommend Ray or his knives highly enough.

The Raker knives are beauties for the $. I've had my brother in laws Lil' Rank in clip point (stag scales) for a couple of weeks. It feels real nice in my hands. I have to return it to him this weekend.

Ray Kirk makes nice user style knives - affordable values IMHO. He is open to changes as well, drop him an e-mail!

Blues <----- I'll get you back for putting the bug back in my ear about the Raker neckers....LOL.

Nice stuff Blues. Should I just go ahead and send you one of my checkbooks and get your name on the account?

Thanks gents.

Ray's forged blades are very performance oriented. I can't wait to check the edges on these babies.
