I've had this knife for a while. I had Ray make this knife to my general specifications, but it has his particular touches.

Previous to getting this knife I carried a Spyderco Superhawk as a self-defense knife. While it's a very good knife, the Superhawk was slow to deploy. I also wanted a stronger knife, and Ray has delivered a knife which addressed both problems.

The knife is 3/16ths O1. The blade is 4 1/4" long, OAL is 9". The sheath is very well done kydex with a belt loop that will take belts up to 2" in width, and is reversible.

The handle is black canvas micarta. It has jimping at four locations to improve grip security.

I am very happy with this knife! :)

I carry the knife on my right side, handle forward. The sheath rides between my waistband and my belt. When I fasten my belt, the handle is pulled in against the point of my right hipbone, and rides there very comfortably. It conceals well under a T-shirt. Deployment is rapid and natural, and positions the knife properly for my preferred grip (reverse).

As always, Ray did an awesome job converting my wishes into reality!

It is about time you got around to reviewing that beauty!

Great pics. I didn't appreciate the scale of it until I saw it in your hand. That is one wicked knife.

A mighty big claw you got there!

Simple, functional design + clean lines + excellent fit = Ray L.!
