I've had this knife for a while. I had Ray make this knife to my general specifications, but it has his particular touches.
Previous to getting this knife I carried a Spyderco Superhawk as a self-defense knife. While it's a very good knife, the Superhawk was slow to deploy. I also wanted a stronger knife, and Ray has delivered a knife which addressed both problems.
The knife is 3/16ths O1. The blade is 4 1/4" long, OAL is 9". The sheath is very well done kydex with a belt loop that will take belts up to 2" in width, and is reversible.
The handle is black canvas micarta. It has jimping at four locations to improve grip security.
I am very happy with this knife!
I carry the knife on my right side, handle forward. The sheath rides between my waistband and my belt. When I fasten my belt, the handle is pulled in against the point of my right hipbone, and rides there very comfortably. It conceals well under a T-shirt. Deployment is rapid and natural, and positions the knife properly for my preferred grip (reverse).
As always, Ray did an awesome job converting my wishes into reality!
