I recently received a slip joint made by Ray. Many of you probably know him from his quality fixed blades.

Was talking with Ray one day and he mentioned he was working on branching out his skills in the slip joint world.

This is Ray's first slip that he has sold.
Blade is razor sharp - with a fabulous grind.
No blade play and tremendous snap.
Scales are black micarta offset with brass pins and lanyard hole.

IMHO very impressive piece of work from Ray.

Clean lines and attractive but also very functional--just like his fixed blades.

What's the blade steel?

t1mpani - what you say is so true - great observation.

Have mentioned to several buddies that this is just a knife that begs to be used.

can we get some specs? Blade length....overall length?

I really like that looks for that.

morrowj 98
Closed length - 4.375"
Blade length - just shy of 3.5"
Blade Steel - 1098

Being a fan of the sodbuster/shadow pattern, I really like the looks of this one. Nice snag, 1200S.

Solid, functional lines sort of a classic look.....

Note - Do not use the blue foam stuff it is photographed on as liner for knife storage, it will 'bleed' into some scale material and leave 'dot' shadows....300$s

Classy lookin' "sodbuster". Well done!

Nice score Rick. It looks clean and very functional. I think I'd swap out the brass pins for stainless steel.
