Looks like Wilkinson Sword now makes the Ray Mears Bushcraft knife. I know alot of people in the U.S. who wanted one, but until now they were hand made by Alan Wood in England and were hard to get. Wilkinson Sword offers a handcrafted birds eye maple handle model or a less expensive Micarta handled version.

Check them out at www.raymears.com

Hi,
I received from Raymears site the next answer about Wilkinson micarta knife:
The blade is cryogenicaly treated and triple templed to 57, 58 HRC.
My question should be, which is best cutter of both F1 or Bushcraft.
Enjoy

Probably the F1. The Bushcraft knife has a really shallow saber grind that's really thick behind the edge. It was done that way for strength, but makes it a less efficient slicer than something with a higher grind. The shallow grind might make it a better whittler, but the only way to really tell is to use them both.

While the edge is very thick, it is ground very acute and will easily out cut the Fallkniven F1 for shallow cutting as the F1 has a much more obtuse secondary edge bevel. However this also given the F1 a much higher edge durability and *much* greater speed of resharpening. The parallel side grinds on the puukko style knife also tend to make it bind or wedge badly on some thick cuts as the friction on the flats can be heavy. There are also much cheaper (1/10) knives of that style (Bushcraft), check Ragweed Forge for example.
