Is anyone familiar with this knife maker? He is out of Oregon. I just ordered a set of custom knives from him and he has an average of 12 months wait. One is a small Loveless drop point design with Black linin micerta scales and red liners with a vine style file work on the back of the blade, flat ground. the other is a boneing knife with black canvas micerta and red liners. the Loveless comes with a leather sheath and the boner has a kydex cover both are D2 tool steel.

I am just curious if anyone has any input on his work as I have only seen his web site.

Thanks for any input - Bob Urban

I have a couple of Ray's knives. One is a fixed blade he made to my specs. The other is a folder with a 6BH blade. Like them both.
Ray lives in the boonies of northern Washington state.
Quite a nice guy.

PS:Welcome to the forums.

Randy thanks for the responce and the welcome! Boy does he ever live in the boonies. Has a real nice websight as well. Amazing how this technology brings people together, how would a knive collector from East Lansing, Michigan find a knive maker that lives in the back country of northern Washington, Internet.

I hate to wish away time but dang do I look forward to receiving these two knives.

I live in Florida and found Ray Rogers across the states. He made a folding knife to my specs (which was a cross between a couple of his regular models. It took a while to get and I have carried it every day for the past year or so and absolutely love it!! His knives have a simple elegance that drew me. He was very easy to deal with and took the time to answer all my questions.

I did see that thread and was happy to here that others are so pleased with his work. These are the first custom knives I have ever ordered and I am very excited about them.

I'm on Ray's list for a Warlock in D2 with curly maple scales. His designs are very functional and still aesthetic.
