Razel Folder

Hey everyone,
I unfortuantely wasn't able to attend the Blade Show this year but was wondering if anyone saw the razel folders or actually bought one. I've been a fan of there work and have always wanted a folder. Any feedback would be appreciated. Now I only wish Busse would do the same. Thanks again!
 
Did indeed see the folder at the show - several were available to be bought through a raffle. My opinion is that there is no real advantage to the folder over the regular Razel assortment of fized blades. First, they are quite large folders, and second, by depending on a lock, they wont be as strong as the fixed versions. You also miss out on the customized leather (or stingray) pocket sheaths that are available with most Graham razel versions and instead get a clip. :cool:

I happen to think that the small fixed blade Graham's are fantastic little jewels of cutlery :thumbup:, and I own several myself, but a folding version just doesn't won't "cut it" for many. :thumbdn:
 
Handled several at BLADE, with my 2 favorites being a Spearpoint with Orange G10, and the SS3 Razel with Lager G10.

As fernando points out they are not as strong as their fixed blades, but then no maker's folders are as strong as a fixed blade. I'm sure if you wanted a leather or stingray sheath for one, the Graham Brothers would make one - added cost of course.

I think their folders are very nice, especially considering this is their first go at folders. Of course I'm hoping they make a Razel Framelock.:D
