Razor Edge Systems vs. Edge Pro

I've used the Razor Edge Systems guides and the EdgePro Apex. The Apex is so much easier to use and easier to master. A Razor Edge coarse hone used in conjunction with a Spyderco Sharpmaker won't look as pretty as an EdgePro edge, but it'll be just as sharp and cost so much less. But back to what you asked, there's much less cursing and no fiddling with hex wrenches when using the EdgePro.
 
I own a RAZOR-EDGE jig and a RAZOR-EDGE steel. The jig is OK but I don't use it much, prefer freehand or something like the Sharpmaker.

I've always wondered do many people use their steel; I've never figured out if I really like it or not and what the problem is? :confused: Anyone else tried the steel? Like it? Dislike it?
