Competition grade floats MY boat. Looks like the Mud Razor (a no-CBT variant I've decided that I want.) and will be wicked sharp to boot. Hope Jerry made lots. Pete

Craft,

The one that you call competition grade... Is that a HR with the CBTs removed? That is a awesome job you did on it :thumbup: I am sure that took a helluva lot of elbow grease.

Ban,

No ellbow grease at all!!! Just a MudRazor with the coating removed:)

the mud razors were flat ground :)

well... I think flat ground... maybe convex, anyways they didnt have the cbt applied to them.

MR's are saber ground like HR's. I sure wish I had bought one off the table in Indianapolis last year.

According to the first pic it appears that the mud razor is a hell razor with the cbt's removed. If you look closely at the plunge line of the first pic you can still see the leftover cbt's right at the plunge. But for some odd reason those are not seen on the reverse side of the second pic. Is the knife in the first pic the same as the 2nd?

Yes it is the same knife Ban, A friend of mine and I did a makeover and cleaned up de plungeline and changed the butt/pommel and a lot of ellbowgrease in handsanding it to a satinfinish. After removing the coating I also thought this was a HellRazor before it was turned into a MudRazor because of the leftover cbt's at the plungeline.

Crafft,

That is very interesting! I guess that the MRs are HRs with CBTs ground off. BTW, that hand satin finish you guys put on that thing is one of the nicest that I have seen.
