This is my standard version of the camp/survival knives I make. It's 1/4" by 1 3/4" 5160. It has a 7 1/2" blade, convex grind, 1 1/4" riccasso with choil and a 5" handle with 1/4" maroon micarta scales attached with 3/16" brass pins. This micarta came out alot darker for some reason, more like a burgundy. I did a full blade hardening heat treat. Thanks for looking :)

I really like the well thought out design of this puppy especially since I do not like guards on a camp knife.

See ya in a few days Scott!

Thanks Gus. These big beasts seem to be quite popular. I've made several for customers. See ya in a few. ;)

Great looking blade! Looks very useful

As far as the micarta, have you tried washing it with detergent and water? That always lightens up mine by taking the oil out. Either way, it looks great.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Andrew, I have washed micarta before and it gives it that washed out look, dull which I really don't mind because I love the look of a well worn knife. :D The color looks good on this one, I just have not experienced it to be this dark in the past. This is more burgundy then maroon IMO.
