Just arrived in the mail today, I tossed this idea at Scott Gossman of Razorback knives and he came through big time!

I wanted a neck sheath for my Jumbo/Cattle King Stockman pattern knives that I favor.

Great set up! I've been debating doing something like that for my Daddy Barlows. I'm just not sure if they aren't a bit too heavy around the neck.

Enjoy!

I wore my Cattle King this afternoon around the yard, wasn't heavy at all.

I've found that the neck cord makes all the difference, with paracord I have worn Buck 110's in neck pouches all day and not felt it. Thin leather though can be bad with bigger knives.

I'll have to give it try. I have a belt sheath I've used as a necker in the past with leather thong. I'll have to try it with some 550. I've thought of taking the center strands out of some para then braiding a neck cord from that.

hehe, maybe I can get my wife to crotchet me up a sheath with neck strap. ;) As long as it ain't pink!

Hey I have one I did for a small but heavy fixed blade, I braided 3 strands of 550 and it works great.

Great set-up, very nice workmanship. We should all be so lucky to own something handmade by Scott ! He is a true artist and skilled craftsman. That leather neck sheath will bring you years of service and pleasure. Congratulations ! Thanks for posting !

That is really nice, think those might be avaliable for the general public?

Grateful, I replyed to your email. LC, looks good with the Case. Nice thing about the sheath is you can also put it in your shirt pocket. It's about the size of a pack of smokes.
Scott

I also found it holds most 4 1/8th inch Trappers as well.

It will actually carry most pocketknives, just not as tightly but unless you get turned on your head I don't see the knife fallingout.

And Scott is right, it would fit in a pocket pretty good!
