Anyone know anything about the Camillus RB04? I believe it's part of the OVB line. It's mentioned in this months Blade magazine as being patterned after the knife Reggie Barker used to win the cutting championship. Nothing on the Camillus site about it. A search of Google reveals a few online shops offering it for sale, most sold out.

I really don't know if the knife exists or not. Since you made your first post, I've searched, but everywhere it's the same thing, 'Sold Out' or 'Not Available'. But contacting one wholesaler, I was told in their parlance, 'sold out' meant they had never recieved any of the knives.

Photo of the original knife, along with the maker, Mr Barker, and Jim Furgal of Camillus in this month's BLADE MAGAZINE. Unfortunately, the article is not about knives, it's about Camillus' survival. Two articles in the magazine on this subject; one an editorial piece about why Camillus will survive, and then a nuts and bolts story of the strike and financial difficulties. Both articles end on a somewhat upbeat note, but then they were written some time ago, lead time being what it is in periodical publishing.

Yes, that's exactly what I was wondering - does sold out mean they had some and sold them all or that they never really had any.

Right. Another good point. Most of the online retailers that list the knife do have pics, so I'm somewhat inclined to believe the knife actually existed. Then again, the pics may have just been stock photos provided to Camillus to their resellers.

I'd love to get to the bottom of this as it looks like a very nice knife.
