RBK, Parangatang, or Kukri Machete?

Was (still am) really excited when the KaBar BK&T RBK was announced several months ago.

But it's now April and I've got a birthday coming up and a wad of cash burning a hole in my pocket.

So I've been thinking about getting the KaBar Parangatang or Kukri Machete. Or should I just tough it out and wait for the RBK?

I don't know how you shop but here's how I do mine......I ask myself in this order:

1. What job does ______ have to do?
2. What do I want it to do [above and beyond #1]?
3. How often will I use ________ ?
4. Is the size/shape/weight correct for the job?
5. What am I willing to pay for it?

Answer all those when considering your purchase and the choice should be made simple....unless you compromise on one of the 5 questions.
 
Buy the Kukri now and ask for the 'Tang for Bday present. Then save some cash for the RBK because who knows when it'll finally be released...
Same as TBL's answer plus a game plan!
