My RC-3 boot clip snapped. The black piece broke right where the black plastic meets the brown piece that screws to the back of the sheath. the knife handle snagged on a branch while I was climbing :grumpy: I was wondering if that clip can be replaced, it doesn't look like it to me but you never know. If it can does anyone know a site that sells parts to these? Or can I replace the whole piece that screws on? I hate to have to replace the whole sheath.

i wonder if that is covered under the warranty. maybe but on the ESEE knives website they sell boot clips for the ESEE 3.

I've seen the clips for sale alone. It's the whole screw on peice. Mikes said a couple times it was designed for light duty use. I carry my three with one every day, but it's setup backwards for right side in pocket or IWB carry. If your doing alot of hiking with it, I'd look into the molle back and use it off a regular belt.

I think it was tkc or knifeworks that I saw the clips

Robert 65, Email me at mike@eseeknives.com with an address and i will send you one. But I will repeat here what I have tried to stress before-- Never depend on the boot clip for secure outside carry. I have had guys lose their entire knife because the clip broke just like this one. The boot clip was really designed for inside the waist band carry or inside a boot/shoe. The MOLLE clips or MOLLE back will be the more secure way for outside carry. Mike

I had my handle snag while wearing IWB, so I started using paracord to lash the sheath inside of my belt but outside of my pants.

With a 1.75" belt it really pulls the handle in snugly...

Wow, thanks Mike I will email you. I guess I should have been a little more specific. I wasnt putting any unusual stress on the clip, and I always wear the knife inside my boot, I was just unlucky with the angle my foot was in when it snagged.
BTW thanks for all the input guys...
