I have an opinion question for you guys.
As a preface, I've recently purchased an RC-3(Orange/O.D.
) and damn I love this knife. It has to be the most solid feeling knife I own. Of course most of my knives are folders, with the exception of a BK9.
With that said... my RC-3 also has the best warranty of any knife I've ever owned.
Now... I work in a manufacturing position in a warehouse, where cutting thick & thin plastic(banding and sheeting) around steel tubing is common place... depending on what I'm doing for the day.
My question is(which is more for curiosity, than advice...), is the RC-3 "too much" knife to be using in the workplace? Do you think I should scale back to a folder like most people have(mostly utility blade knives) or should I stick with my fixed blade until I'm flat out told I can't use it any longer?
I just love the feel of my RC-3(yes, I'm a knife nut).
Thanks,
Joe
