RC-3 handle too short. What next?

I have a RC-3 and I really like the blade length for a general purpose fixed blade knife. However, I find that the handle is too small for my hand. What knife do you recommend with a similar (or slightly larger) blade length that has a handle 1/2"-1" longer? Is the RC-4 handle longer than the RC-3?
 
Doesn't look like it. From the RAT site...

RC3= 8.3125" OAL - 3.875" blade = 4.43" handle

RC4= 9" OAL - 4.5" blade = 4.5 "handle

You might want to contact one of the custom guys here at BF and see what they can whip up in 1095 (or whatever). Give them your ideal blade length and handle length.
 
You might check out the Bark River Aurora. It's a great knife. I just measured the handle and its 4 7/8. Some people with small to medium sized hands complain that the handle is too big ;)
 
Just as a question, how long have you used it? I know a lot of folks even with pretty large mitts end up finding that it's actually a very good size.
 
I've had it for about 1-2 years. I have trouble getting my pinky finger on the handle
 
I was worried about the handle size on the RC4 because I have large hands, and after I got it, and handled it for a while, it feels great. maybe a 1/4inch more would be better, but it works fine. Give it a few test runs, you might find that you like it.

P.S.- Jeff Randall (Rat Cutlery himself) said the RC3 and 4's handles are virtually the same length.

I've got two RAT-3s and yes the handle is short, but it seems to work fine for me.

The good thing is that there are so many other choices out there now. Find one that you like and lay the money down.

They use the same scales. Just the RC4 is 3/16ths thick...so it fills the hand a bit more than the RC3s 1/8th.
