Hi Guys,

First post too, just saying I have been a long time guest reader of BladeForums and have found it useful and interesting!

Just ordered my first ESEE product, RC-3 plain edge in Desert Tan. I am quite excited and am expecting this product to preform, which based on reviews I am certain it will! I do alot of bushcraft and quite often go out for a few nights bivying. I am wishing to add to my ESEE collection as I gather money and experience.

I currently have an assortment of Becker Knives and a Cold Steel SKR but I am really looking forwards to putting this ESEE knife through it's paces, and actually haven't been this excited about acquiring a new blade in a long time. Maybe since I was 9 and got my first Victorinox Folder for Scouts :D

(I hope this is on topic enough for the ESEE forums  )

Welcome Kiwi, this is very much on topic for the ESEE forum. You will never want any more ESEE knives after the 3, you will NEED them. There is something about these knives you just get addicted.

THe ESEE 3 is a real work horse that was my first one as well and it is still my favorite even after my Izula's and my ESEE 4, it is a really great knife and you will love it.

Congrats on the RC-3. The threes are by far my favorites as you can see by this picture.

Welcome to the forum.

You will love the ESEE 3......and I dare say, it won't be long before you order more ESEE knives...:D

I've used the 3 for many different tasks and it's performed flawlessly.

Congrats and welcome to the team!
And its hard to go really off-topic here, its a pretty tolerant group. People even discuss panties in here ;)

Welcome to the forum Kiwi! Now that you opened the flood gate and ordered a ESEE 3 you midas well start saving up your pennies now because you've just infected yourself. You'll be ordering new ESEE gear every chance you get from here on out.

Welcome ! The 3 is a great knife ( I got 4 of 'em)

For the bush , a 6 makes a great partner for it , or go big and get a Junglas :)

I just found my RC-3 after hunting for it for the last week. I had overlooked it and it was right where it was supposed to be. I was seriously considering ordering another if I didn't find it after my search tonight. Can't live without it.

Stop telling yourself that. The best thing about an addiction is the giving in to it :D

I went backwards. Got the RC-5 first then a 4, then the RC-3 as I convinced myself I had to have one before they changed to the new logo. Its funny the excuses we come up with to "enable" the addiction. But, yeah, I can stop at anytime too.

:D

Congrats on the new RC-3! Please share your impressions after you are able to give it a bit of work out.

Oh gosh, it seems to me I stumbled on the gateway knife

I think you all might be right is has not arrived yet and I'm already eyeballing something like a 6! With a 2 week tramp and river trip coming up I'll be sure to welcome the RC-3 in with some work :D and by the reviews the knife will love it nearly as much as me

Thanks for the welcomes
Kiwi
