First, I don't have any pictures. The knife is in my Jeep, and I can't get to it until this afternoon. I'll take a pic and post it this evening.

While I really love the RC-3, it has always bothered me that the grip was so slim. It certainly makes for a compact package, but the handle on the -4 just feels better, even though its other dimensions are the same. Last night, I cut out some yellow liners from vulcanized fiber, and they make a HUGE difference. The knife just fills my hand perfectly now, like the -4 does. I think it may just be the perfect do-everything knife.

Anybody else put some liners on theirs?

The ESEE 3 & 4 use the same scales...
The factory scales fit my hand good...
I'd like to see pictures ,thanks for sharing

Sounds like a quick and easy fix....good looking too....looking forward to pix.....I predict you'll start a "trend"

So you more or less made some liners to make the knife fill your hands a little better? Cool idea.

I agree. The scales fit my hands really well, too. It's just that the -3 has a thinner blade and no liners. The new liners make it feel like an ESEE-4. I'll put up some pics as soon as I get a chance.

that sounds cool, but i personally like the slim profile. and it isnt too narrow for me. but whatever works best for you! :D

My picture foo is weak, but here is a look:
