The handles on the MIL are grippier. I think it's called canvas micarta?
What I was stating about the difference between canvas micarta, linen micarta & G10 is what I have heard from the majority of others experiences & those making knives. Yes.. linen micarta & G10 are smoother than canvas micarta but that is only one factor. You are correct in that it ultimately is a matter of personal preference as there are a LOT of factors that contibute to the grippiness of a handle.
though G10 and linen micarta does feel smooth To me the Canvas Micarta does have more of a grip factor, that is why I switched my RC5 scales with the RC6,I use my 6 more but I prefer the RC5 scales, jusr personal preference I guess.
Can the RC-3 be had with = 'canvas micarta', 'full' RAT sheath(pictured here)= http://www.ratcutlery.com/rc-3_instructions_1_large.jpg
& the rounded pommel'?
Thanks again
