RC-4 Arrived Yesterday -- Wow!

OK, looks like I've got a new best knife. I had to get it out in the back yard last evening and do some firemaking work in comparison to a few of my other knives: my favorite puuko; a Cold Steel SRK Carbon V (that I've narrowed and convexed the edge on); and my formerly favorite knife, a Jarvenppaa 7" blade leuku. Only the leuku was in the same league with the RC-4 for whipping up tinder and kindling. All these knives are shaving sharp, but the RC-4's edge, heft and handyness was outstanding on the fine work and did a great job battoning through the juniper limbs I was playing with.

Very nice knife. That is the most I've ever paid for a knife. And it seems like an outstanding value.

I promised my brother and brother-in-law we could pass this one around for all to try, but I'm rethinking that already.

Welcome aboard; the RC4 is tough to beat. I have knives that cost many times more that often stay home in favor of the RC4.
