Well life is good...today anyway.

Walked to my mailbox in -40 celcius temps to see if I had any packages.
There sat a card to pick up a package from the post office which is actually only 5 minutes away and open till 8.30pm.
So I got the SUV, too cold not lazy!
Got to the desk and Canadian customs sting me with another $15 in taxes :jerkit:

Paid with a smile on my face and took my package outside.
Took my Cold Steel mini lawman and opened the padded package very slowly....out came my invoice and then a plastic packet containing the RC 4 and molle clips.
I pulled the knive out of the sheath and straight away noticed the weight compared to my SOG seal pup elite.
Its very sharp out of the "box" and I love the green that runs along the handle.
I sat in the car holding it for about 10 minutes as people started giving me funny looks I thought it was time to go home, plus it wasnt getting any warmer.
Once I get time Ill post some pictures although Im not sure I can compete with some of the quality pictures on here!
Now while ive been waiting for this to arrive Ive hit a snag............RC 5 or 6 but thats another story.:D

These things are s addictive as an M14 clone. It about 2 months I have ended up with
1 RC-3 MIL serated (I want to replace it for non serated version, as I just can't warm up to the serations)
2 RC-4's
1 RC-5 with cordura (I am looking for one more of these with the cordura)
2 RC-6's

See, I buy everything in two's. One for me and one for my son. (He'll be here in Febuary)
I don't know what my excuse used to be...;)

Nice purchase, RC4 is my favorite RC knife followed by the Izula, RC6, RC5, RC3. I want the HEST, initially I didnt like it but changed my mind after the passaround, its a great all aroung package.

congrats!
also - temperature trivia: -40C = -40F
-40 -32 times 5/9 = -40/5 * 9 + 32 = -40

I went with the RC-4 for 2 reasons. # 1. the price seemed right and # 2. I like the size of the knife.

one thing that has me hooked on the RC 5 is the SERE input. Maybe a little shallow, but I think thats pretty neat and I like the sabre grind.

Glad to hear about your RC-4 purchase! Now you get to put her through some good abuse.

My first RAT as well. Love it.

Mine would have stayed in the mailbox until spring if it was -40 out!
