I've had my knife for a few weeks now, but I haven't had a chance to take it into the woods (that's this weekend), so I put it to use in the kitchen. Here's a couple pictures I snapped while helping my little lady make dessert.

I can't wait to get outside and really see this baby shine!
Kiwi Time!
Corona Anyone?

Nice! I use my RC-3 in the kitchen all the time. I gotta get a 4 for the bigger jobs though...

Thanks for the pics.

As soon as my Beefmaster (big, one slice covers bread) tomatoes get red, I am gonna give my RC-6 a kitchen workout. Gonna be interesting to see if it is too thick to work well. Cutting ability I have no doubt.

I bet you have no problems. I also use my khuks in the kitchen and they are WAAAY thicker than a piddly RC-6.:) Trick is to angle the blade slightly away from the food as you slice to compensate for the blade thickness.

I am amazed at the use of 1095 steel blades in the kitchen. Nice knife though, planning on getting the rc4 soon.

I've got about 15 Beefmaster Tomatoes planted and about 10 of another variety. Those Beefmasters are the best though!

Nice pics. Have you tried it with any veggies? I want to get another Rat, just not sure if I need the RC-3 or RC-4. Decisions, decisions...

You know, Im kinda diggin that color!!!

Ive always been kind of a subdued color guy for field gear. But my RC4 (when I get it) will be my primary bushcraft knife. Im thinking maybe the orange handles may be cool!

Im sure no ninja... so its not a combat knife for me! LOL

I use my RC-4 in the kitchen all the time and like it so well I think my next RAT will be an RC-6 that will see even more kitchen time. I was it off with hot water and wipe it down and I haven't had any problems with rust.

Man, I'm from Jersey.

The ONLY thing that state does right are tomatoes.

I haven't had a decent tom since moving to the south, they're like kechup with a skin on it.

Best sammich evar!!! Tomato, miracle whip, salt and pepper on Wonder bread.

Damn, I just gave myself a chubby talking about food again.

Guess we know where your "miracle whip" comes from.:jerkit:

Try Hellman's (real mayo), wheat bread, salt and pepper and they will taste much better. :)

Damn, do southern people have to teach the brain frozen northerners everything?
