RC-4 Modified Pommel?

I was checking out the websites listed on RAT Cutlery's page, trying to figure out where I wanted to preorder my Orange/OD RC-4 from...

I noticed a lot of the sites list the OD and Orange RC's with either a standard or modified pommel. Can anyone tell me what the modification to the pommel is? Is it a sharpened glass breaker like the military and SERE models?

Any opinions on standard vs. modified?

no, the modified pommel is the "glass breaker'. the original pommel is the rounded one.

The only knife we offer a modified pommel in is the RC-3. The modified pommel is rounded. Standard pommel (on the RC-3) has the glass breaker. We were originally going to do the same thing with the RC-4 but we changed our minds. So, the ONLY way the RC-4 comes is with a rounded pommel.

So, the ONLY way the RC-4 comes is with a rounded pommel.

What about the desert RC-4? Every pic I've seen has the pointed pommel.

Again, all those pics were prototypes. The only way the RC-4 is available is with the rounded pommel. One of these days, when we get caught up, we will get newer pics up on the site. Just don't have the time to do it right now.
