I am sure this has already been addressed, but I can't find it through the search function.

To keep the knife in the kydex sheath with more "authority" I assuem the two top screws can be tightened, or are all the screws tightened. I am always wary of overtightening things so I did a revolution or two on the top screws and the knife seemed to come out just as easily, with no better retention. I just don't want to loose it while climbing or moving through brush. Thanks.

On the 4 sheath, there are 2 holes at the top on the edge side of the sheath. You can move the screw to the upper hole for better retention. Have you tried that?

The retention screw on mine came in the bottom (looser) hole. If you read the instructions it shows moving the screw to the upper hole to tighten retention. The one on the spine (fold) side is just a spare.

Tighten it up till it's done. It's not like x number of turns on the screw = more retention. You snug it all the way up.

ETA: Damn, you guys are fast.

Thanks guys. What a concept! Read the instructions. :o

I will probably get that Molle back, but now that I can tighten the thing properly, I feel confident it won't fall out if just lashed to my pack or belt with the paracord.

Thanks again.

Sure thing . I have the same "problem"... if all else fails... read the directions.

Going back through my RAT Cutlery (prior to ESEE) boxes, I am now able to appreciate the thoroughness of the packaging and instructions. They really do include nice accessories and instructions with the basic knife package. Its a nice touch, and accentuates the great value.
