I recently picked up an RC-4 in a trade and the sheath was missing both a fastener and any sort of clip. Is there a source for replacement parts? Also, as much as I like this knife I find the grip a little thin for my hand and I was wondering if thicker scales were available?

Thanks for any information,

It doesn't come with a clip, but you can mount it with paracord through the holes. You could put a teclok on it, but would have to acquire it seperately. So far, if you want bigger scales, you have to fashion them yourself or find someone to customize them for you.

The paracord loops work awesome. I was admittedly skeptical at first, expecting an integrated belt loop and a bit disappointed when it came in without the loop. Then I read the instruction packet and saw a couple of posted pictures on how to loop the paracord through the four holes and use the line clip to hold the paracord in place. The result is a set of belt loops that hold the sheath very tight to your belt and do not add bulk (width) to the knife sheath.

Here is a pic of my knife in inverted carry and under the belt. I like it this way for certain conditions. I carry it the regular way, handle up/outside belt as well. I repalced the paracorde that came with the knife with a longer piece. This way I could get a little loop sticking out at the tip of the sheath so that I can clip it to my bag via a carbiner when I want to.

I just ordered a boot/belt clip and a tek-lok from here. I liked the idea of using the boot clip on my belt for easy and quick on and off. Fast shipping and good prices., plus I figured if I ordered it directly from Rat Cutlery I was guaranteed to get the right stuff. I recieved the items the other day and they both worked perfectly and came with plany of the screws and such.
