I just got my rc-4 and freakin love it. I am trying to figure out the best way of carrying it. I tried the tec locks that came with it and found them too bulky and difficult to operate. I took them off and put the provided paracord on it. I like the kydex but just didn't know the best way of doing the para cord. Do you guys carry the rc-4 horizontal or vertical? If you carry horizontal where on your belt to you put it. I tried it on my back and was to afraid of missing the sheath when putting it back. Any tips or tricks?

I am going to head to the woods soon and hope to put up some pics of my new rat enjoying a full course of wood.

I prefer to have the knife dropped mostly below the belt line using the MOLLE back panel or I just use a tek-lok. One of my favorite ways to mount the RC-4 using the tek-lok is horizontally on my belt in front of my left hip with the handle pointed toward my center line. This gives easy access with both hands but in my experience it does not conceal very well (this method is not well suited to EDC).

I dont think I will ever edc the rc-4 mostly a backpacking/camp knife so concealment isnt a huge concern. I might try horizontal on my front hip. I may end up getting the molle attachment I just wanted to keep it as light and slim as possible.

It works especially well for backpacking/hiking because it keeps the knife handle well below the hip belt of your pack (if you have one).
