RC-5 fire drill pivot

Haha I was just looking at the RC-5 on TKC and noticed they all have the drill pivot, I come over here to find an RC-5 thread to ask if that's what it's there for and look at the first page! Friggin' RC-5 drill pivot!! Money

Tonym has. He has a post of it in W&SS - several pages back.

Earlier in the year when the 5 first started getting in the hands of users, there was an endless picture parade of the 5 in action in this forum. Several guys have used the drill pivot. The one suggestion I remember is to use chapstick to minimize the friction burns in the Mircarta.

Everyone seemed happy and that it served the purpose. I havent used mine for that yet.

Some SERE instructors have used it. I think I posted some pics a while back. But they also made fuzz sticks with the blade also! :D

I am thinking about my RAT blades and really that is by far my favorite, it feels so good in hand, stout and indestructable, defintely top of the line

:D while that is awesome and totally true, what has it got to do with the fire drill pivot this thread is about? lol.
